Why did I create CritCross?

Throughout my life I have competed in advanced levels of BMX, Motocross, Downhill Mountain Bike, Cross Country Mountain Bike, Cyclocross, Criterium's, and Road Racing events.  I have many wins and state championships to my name across all these listed disciplines.  My original vision was to develop a unique racing competition combining the best of these in a series of cycling-oriented events that would push riders kitted out with the most advanced cycling gear to their maximal potential.

I started kicking around the idea of new hybrid event because the SoCal Criterium racing scene had become stale and Cyclocross racing had all but disappeared.  I realized there was a hunger for something new different and challenging- something especially that would be  exciting for both racers and spectators.

Exposing riders to new challenges not only in their fitness but also challenging their equipment capabilities on varying terrains is a passion of mine. Many cyclists including championship-winning professional athletes have come to enjoy the rides I design because of their rigor and pace.  CritCross is the ultimate expression of my passion for pushing cyclists to their edge.
